Today I'll be reviewing my favorite bubble bar I've tried so far, Lush's The Brightside Bubble Bar. This product was limited edition for Easter, but might be still available in store. Either way, we might all see it again next Easter. Lush is a cruelty-free brand that focuses on making hand-made cosmetics, including bath/shower products, skincare products, hair products, and more recently color cosmetics.

Lush's claims:
- "Everything's bright about this bubble bar, from the swirling orange and red color to the juicy citrus fragrance."
- Has a "triple orange" scent, like "lying in a sunny orange grove"
- You will see "vivid orange water and mountains of foamy bubbles."
Lush's Ingredients:
- Sodium Bicarbonate-creates fizz and froth of the bubbles
- Cream of Tartar-combined w/ sodium bicarbonate, to make bubbles
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfate-a foaming agent
- Lauryl Betaine-a hair/skin softener and surfactant, also stabilizes product
- Sicilian Mandarin Oil-part of the fragrance
- Tangerine Oil-part of the fragrance
- Bergamot Oil-part of the fragrance, also anti-bacterial
- Perfume-blend of natural oils, resins, and absolutes that adds to the product's aroma.
- Limonene-occurs naturally in essential oils
- Gardenia Extract-adds color to product
- Linalool-occurs naturally in essential oils
- Colour 14700-adds orange to red color to product
- Colour 15510-adds warm orange color to product
The bubble bar itself is considered one of Lush's large bubble bars, being about the same size as The Comforter from Lush's permanent range. I prefer to cut my bubble bar into either thirds or fourths prior to using it, that way I can get multiple baths! For this review I used a third for each bath I've taken so far; I still have one left! It would have been completely fine to go with fourths, however, which is what I'll do with large bubble bars in the future.
The color of The Brightside is beautiful with swirls of red, orange, and yellow. It's not the bright shades that hooked me, however, it's the amazing orangey scent. I would describe it as a mixture between fresh tangerines and orange soda (like a homemade one with real oranges). If you're a citrus lover like myself, than this fragrance is simply breathtaking.
Instructions on the bath balm include filling your bath tub with warm water, and crumbling the bubble bar under running water to make bubbles. I found that I got even more bubbles by simply holding the bubble bar under running water, and then slowly crumbling at the end. The bubble bar reminded me of a bath bomb, because it not only made a great deal of bubbles, but changed my bath water a rich orange! This orange color was filled with wonderful oils, which both softened and cleaned my skin. No need to use a bath bomb for added effect; this bubble bar is like a bath bomb and bubble bar in one! If you're a bath person, a large bubble bar is the way to go value wise. When I dried myself off, the scent lingered, but not greatly so. It also wasn't softening enough to skip out on moisturizer, but that's not what the product was intended for. It did leave my bathroom smelling wonderful for sometime afterwards, which is always an added bonus!

Pros:
- The "triple orange" scent is as bright and invigorating as promised!
- The color of the bubble bar and the bath water is both bright and lovely.
- The bath water softens the skin slightly.
- It made plenty of bubbles!
- It's luxurious and a nice treat for bath lovers!
- A large bubble bar like this one is a better value.
- Made my bathroom smell nice also!
Cons:
- At $8.95, I wouldn't consider this cheap, even if you can get 3-4 baths out of it.
- Although enjoyable, it's not a beauty product that noticeably changes your appearance, nor is it an essential.
